Switching to remote schooling in a crisis situation and on very short notice is challenging for students and teachers. As many schools closed during the current outbreak of the novel coronavirus, teachers have to improvise in continuing their lessons remotely.
A natural science teacher from the Netherlands humorously adopted the topics in his lessons to the students’ current situation. He ensured the interest of his students by teaching about the energy in snacks commonly eaten when kids are at home alone and about how paper, including the now sparse toilet paper, is made.
