During the coronavirus crisis, social distancing is one of the key measures to curb the number of new infections. Apart from shops and restaurants, a rising number of cultural institutions and museums now make their offerings available online. The parliament in Vienna now does so, as well.
Austria’s parliament is currently working at the DemokratieQuartier at Heldenplatz in Vienna’s city center. Since the building is closed to visitors, it welcomes them to a virtual visit.
“Visit #OeParl” starts with a film that takes visitors through the parliament building. Then tour guides take visitors around live via YouTube and answer questions via the chat function.
