The sudden switch to remote learning has caught many teachers, students, and parents by surprise. Many decisions regarding homeschooling were made without the involvement of the students.
In an online survey, the Austrian youth participation organisation YEP asked students about their concerns regarding remote learning. The results were presented in an online conference with the Ministry of Education and many other organisations in the field. This participation process ensured that policies concerning young people are not made without them.
