On July 1, 2020, many countries reopen their borders for tourists to enjoy a holiday. New security procedures pose a challenge to hotels and airports as they have never been tested.
Now Spain has found a way to test these new procedures. The country is letting 6,000 Germans start their Balearic holiday earlier to check whether the new security protocols are working at airports and hotels, among other places. This way they want to be ready for the official reopening on July 1.
