The fear of being infected is a substantial psychological stress factor which many of us face during disease outbreaks. This is also the case during the coronavirus crisis: one might not feel symptoms oneself, but it is impossible to know for sure whether the people with whom one has been in contact were infected with Covid-19. Or maybe one has spent time in an area which turns out to be high-risk.
For those who do not feel any symptoms but feel worried about their risk of infection, the State of Vorarlberg (Austria) has created an online form. The information is processed by Red Cross staff and the sender will receive information about how to proceed. This measure also helps to reduce pressure on the government’s hotline for immediate help.
