Reliable and up-to-date information is vital in a global crisis. Telephone hotlines are overwhelmed by a large number of incoming calls from concerned citizens.
In Latvia, a virtual assistant was developed with the goal to provide automated responses to citizens and support them with verified and reliable information on issues related to the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country. The chatbot can be easily integrated into existing state and municipal websites. The virtual assistant can be found here. Developed and maintained by two Latvian Tech-companies Tilde and tet, the chatbot provides its users with reliable information around the clock.
