Energy supply is an essential cornerstone of a country’s infrastructure. In the face of the current coronavirus outbreak, an infection of too many of those who operate the energy infrastructure can endanger energy security.
A group of specialists working for an Austrian energy company have voluntarily gone into complete isolation. After being tested negatively for the novel coronavirus, they have moved to make-shift accommodations next to power plants. They are ready to take over if a critical number of their colleagues get sick.
This initiative was started by Wien Energie.
