With most of us forced to stay at home due to curfews, self-isolation and lockdown to cope with the coronacrisis, tourism is greatly affected. Travel has mostly stopped, hotels and cities are empty, people working in the tourism industry are (temporarily) out of their jobs.
To tackle this challenge, the Greek Ministry of Tourism and Discover Greece have joined up to start #greecefromhome. It offers videos of Greek-inspired music, mythology, cuisine, arts, crafts, fashion, sport and style, virtual visits to Greek historical sights, and free online courses for digital skills. The aim is to make everything that Greece has to offer available online and to support people in getting a head start in the job market.
