To prevent the transmission of Covid-19, a 3D printer plan for innovative door openers is provided.
The transmission of Infectious diseases is not only a matter of personal interaction. To prevent the spread of Covid-19 citizens must try to not only limit the direct contact with those who may be infected but also to reduce physical contact with potentially contaminated objects. Especially when operating in the public sphere, citizens must be careful what they touch.
A Start-Up designed a cost-effective add-on for all door handles and provided the plans to produce them at home with a 3D-printer for free. Anyone, whether they live in homes, businesses or public buildings, can use a 3D printer to produce their own hands-free door handle at no great expense, thus helping to prevent the virus from spreading so quickly. This initiative was started by Materialise.
