A coronavirus action group to provide a reliable source of information

During times of crisis, it is imperative for governments, public authorities and public health teams to ensure to share reliable information whilst avoiding misinformation.

To increase the social impact of public Covid-19 efforts, to strengthen and increase the sustainability of public mobilisation and manage and mitigate the risks that are present in any public response to Covid-19, the Essex County Council (EEC) set up the Essex Coronavirus Action group. In partnership with Facebook and local communities, the group aims to provide the people of Essex with advice and a trustworthy source of information. This group is administered by the Council’s Public Health team, supported by Public Health England.

To find out more about Essex’ information and advice initiative, please follow this link or check out the case study on LinkedIn.
