The coronavirus crisis poses a major challenge to all countries and to developing countries in particular. Numerous social and economic consequences emerge, especially for countries that have neither a strong health care system nor social safety.
With the #SmartDevelopmentHack, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) supports innovative digital solutions to overcome the challenges of the coronavirus in partner countries. The BMZ is calling for the hackathon #SmartDevelopmentHack and is looking for innovative digital solutions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America in the field of development cooperation. In a two-day hackathon, participants will work with partners to adapt innovative and digital ideas to a local context.
