Building a global open-source platform for low-cost solutions

The coronavirus crisis is a great challenge for the whole world. Especially regarding the development of world solutions that are easy to produce and low-cost. Still, as this is not an easy task it is necessary to bring together a broad alliance of individuals and companies.

In partnership with the biggest players in the technology world, the UNDP is calling on all hardware and software developers, product designers, scientists, hackers, makers, innovators, and inventors to come together and help those who could be most affected by Covid-19. The aim of the Covid-19 Detect & Protect Challenge is to build a global platform of open-source solutions that can detect Covid-19 cases, prevent the spread of the disease, and protect individuals and societies.
