    Deferring businesses’ taxes and utility bills

    Global health crises not only affect the health of citizens but also the economy. Especially small businesses are affected. Thus, cities are thinking about how they can help businesses to survive the coronavirus pandemic.

    The city of Seattle started an initiative to help business owners and their employees who are currently suffering from the secondary effects of the crisis. By deferring businesses’ taxes and utility bills, the city aims to increase business owners´ flexibility during a period of financial hardship.
