Educational institutions maintain contact with parents and children

This long period of suspension of educational and school activities causes a sense of loss for children due to changed life habits, the lack of direct contact with classmates, and the interruption of the significant relationship with adults from school and nursery.

For this reason, the Education and School Institution in Bologna introduced the project “Staying together … at a distance”. Teachers, educators, and operators of kindergartens, centres for children and families, kindergartens, territorial educational services, with the support of the pedagogical coordinators, constantly maintain a direct relationship with the parents and children of their sections, offering a variety of forms of contact and sharing.

Providing messages, videos, letters, songs, nursery rhymes and readings, activity and game suggestions, and building objects with what is available in the house that can be brought when schools reopen.

The intent is, however, to feel close in the educational and emotional relationship, with all the boys, girls, and their parents, in various and inclusive ways.
