    Fully digitising homeschooling

Isolation and quarantine policies force children to stay at home, as well. This poses a great challenge for parents and schools alike. Thus, during the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the most important tasks for schools is to ensure a continuous and high-quality educational programme.

Already in 2016, the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv has started a programme for all its 52 municipal schools to digitalise its education process. This programme now not only pays off but also serves as a perfect starting point to tackle the crisis: So far, over 900 teachers and school administrators have received trainings and over 30,000 students study in virtual classrooms with video links and chats, using ready-made test forms, doing homework and performing group assignments. During the first two weeks of the social distancing measures, the virtual classroom numbers for Plovdiv schools increased by 150%.
