Map of locations for free meals

In some places, the economic and social consequences of the coronavirus outbreak are so hard that people cannot afford to buy food. Before the crisis, a large number of families depended on the free meals their children received at school. When schools had to close, many children went hungry. But children are not the only vulnerable group in need of food support.

To tackle this problem, the city of Philadelphia has created a map of food distribution sites. The places are grouped by eligibility criteria so people can immediately identify where they will be able to receive free meals.

Government platform to recruit retired or unemployed health professionals

The French Ministry of Solidarity and Health launched a platform to recruit volunteers and health professionals who are unemployed or retired.

An initiative brings together volunteer teachers and families

La Classe à la Maison connects volunteer teachers and children and parents from kindergarten to 5th grade to ensure high-quality distance learning during the pandemic.
