Visiting a general practitioner during a global pandemic when government-enforced lockdowns and physical distancing measures are in place can pose a great risk for oneself, the other patients, as well as the doctors. This is why patients are urged to consult their GPs via telephone.
Sometimes however, a phone call is not enough for the doctor to reach an informed diagnosis. That’s why the Welsh Government together with the country’s digital health agency now developed a Video Consulting Service for doctors. This software can be applied if the GP needs more information than a telephone call can provide.
