During a crisis, many people find strength in their faith. But during lockdown, isolation, or quarantine, religious services are not available. Many churches have been looking for alternatives, such as livestreaming services or priests using speaker’s corners.
Pat Allerton, the vicar at St Peter’s church in Notting Hill, London, has taken his church service to the streets. He simply gets into his car, turns up the volume of his speakers, and drives around London while preaching and playing hymns. This way he keeps the connection with his congregation and lifts up their spirits.
