Promotion fund for home office and works council communication

Many companies, associations and institutions currently have insufficient possibilities to provide their employees with a home office. Especially now it is becoming apparent how important digital cooperation actually is and that those who do not have these instruments or simply do not have the infrastructure to do so are more affected economically. Another acute problem is that many works councils currently do not have the means to inform their staff sufficiently about changes in labour law and special regulations during the crisis.

With the Zukunftsfonds, the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour currently has a subsidy programme to support digitisation which benefits employees. Within the framework of the fund, EUR 2 million have now been made available to support companies, associations and institutions that wish to provide their employees with a home office or works councils that are using new digital methods to reach their workforce. The rules of the Zukunftsfonds apply to applications; decision-making processes of the fund and the jury are accelerated.
