    Providing citizens with iPads for virtual family reunions

    In times of isolation and quarantine, many family members are separated; they can’t visit their loved ones in hospitals or care homes and have to cancel birthday parties and weddings. But technology can help these families to reunite.

    With visiting suspended for the vast majority of patients, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are reuniting families through “person-centred virtual visiting” by supplying wards with 100 iPads, complete with FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom.

    The French Ministry of Solidarity and Health launched a platform to recruit volunteers and health professionals who are unemployed or retired.
