Providing free or lower-cost digital services and products

During a pandemic it is important to help reduce its socio-economic impact on countries and societies. Different countries choose from a diverse set of policies to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus crisis on its citizens and businesses.

One way to reduce the socio-economic impact is to provide citizens with the possibility to work remotely through the free use of advanced and intelligent teleworking platforms, to make newspapers, magazines and free books available on their tablet or mobile phones and to attend school / university courses via distance learning platforms. This is exactly what the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance did in collaboration with operators, individuals and businesses. Those who wish to contribute do this via the project’s online platform. It is important to add that both services and products are available free of charge or at a reduced price, and there is no obligation to renew a subscription after the end of the promotional period.
