RemedyMatch was one of 20 winning teams out of more than 1,200 projects in the WirVsVirus Hackathon organised by the German government from 20-22 March 2020. Just three days later, the platform went live.
RemedyMatch’s goal is to bring together the inventory and demand for medical protection and relief items quickly, easily, and locally, thus helping to bridge supply bottlenecks during the Covid-19 crisis and beyond.
Donations can be made by private individuals as well as companies of all industries and sizes who can provide one or more protective and auxiliary items
In the meantime, an interdisciplinary team of experts consisting of more than 60 people is working voluntarily on the development of a scalable open-source donation and logistics platform.
