    Using drones to inform people about Covid-19

    Although it may be imperative during a crisis to inform all citizens, this is often a challenging task. Technology can play a vital part in combatting the spread of the coronavirus.

    In Tallinn, the local government lets drones equipped with speakers fly over parks, beaches, and other popular spots to inform people about the proper behaviour during the Covid-19 pandemic. The drones fly daily and provide the information in three languages – Estonian, Russian and English.

    Helping tourists to maintain physical distancing

    The Swedish island of Gotland hired a group of armored knights to patrol well-visited places in the region to ensure that tourists adhere to physical distancing measures.

    The French Ministry of Solidarity and Health launched a platform to recruit volunteers and health professionals who are unemployed or retired.
