    3D printing valves for reanimation devices

    During the current COVID-19 outbreak, more people than usual need oxygenation in hospitals. This led to a shortage in oxygenation devices, and spare parts.

    A hospital in Brescia commissioned a company to 3D print valves for reanimation devices which had been unavailable through its usual supplier. Several patients have been treated with the use of such 3D printed valves. Several engineers around the world have now started to 3D print other missing parts for medical devices that are now desperately needed.

    Helping tourists to maintain physical distancing

    The Swedish island of Gotland hired a group of armored knights to patrol well-visited places in the region to ensure that tourists adhere to physical distancing measures.
