App organises help regionally

During the Covid-19 crisis, many people need help and others offer help – but often, they don’t know how to find each other. A new app aims to solve this problem on a regional level.

Two young computer scientists and a graphic designer from Upper Austria developed an app called ihobzeit (“I have time”). It is designed in the regional dialect to reduce fear and reservations and create a sense of familiarity amongst its users. The platform divides potential helpers in three categories ( “I have too little”, “I have too much” and “I can drive”) and connects people directly with each other.
