Enjoying live theatre via Zoom

During lockdown and isolation, theatres are among the large number of venues which had to close their doors. Hence, theatre lovers are looking for alternative ways to see live performances and actors are turning to technology to provide their fans with enjoyable theatre experiences.

Oxford-based Creation Theatre and their co-producers at Big Telly Theatre Company from Portstewart in Northern Ireland put on a production of The Tempest via the video conferencing platform Zoom. The play also invited participants to be part of the play as they were asked to participate, i.e. by making a noise or waving at strangers.
