    Community support for healthcare workers

    During the coronavirus crisis the capacities of healthcare facilities are seriously stretched and often exceeded. Healthcare workers have to work extra hours under extremely trying conditions.

    The platform HospitalHero seeks to organise volunteers to assist healthcare workers with their daily tasks outside the hospital. The page matches requests for errands, house cleaning, the preparation of meals, pet care and other forms of support with people willing to help. Healthcare workers can also share links to their requests on social media.

    Reducing the impact of fake news during the Covid-19 crisis

    To fight fake news around Covid-19, a French project raises awareness for false information regarding the pandemic.

    Providing hospitals and frontline medical staff with necessary equipment

    To provide hospitals with missing equipment, an initiative crowdsources necessary materials such as masks and visors.
