Crowdfunding for hospital medical equipment

During a crisis, relevant institutions often run out of money and cannot afford to buy the necessary equipment. In some cases, it is not the state that steps in to help, but private citizens. Crowdfunding can be an important tool in this regard.

To support the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, citizens initiated a crowdfunding campaign to buy necessary equipment in the ICU. The items needed include fans, ventilation devices, or hemodynamic monitoring. After the call, about 4.5 million euros have been raised.
