Crowdsourcing data to visualize maps to identify current and potential hotspots

During the coronavirus crisis, it can be challenging for citizens and public health agencies to see what’s happening and identify current and potential hotspots for COVID-19. Still, as this knowledge is highly relevant to ensure the protection of citizens, it is crucial to analyze real-time data.

Created by epidemiologists and software developers at Harvard, Boston Children’s Hospital and a group of volunteers from across the technology industry, Covid Near You uses crowdsourced data to visualize maps to help citizens and public health agencies in their efforts.
