    Debunking myths on Covid-19

Obtaining medical advice from non-professionals is generally problematic for all kinds of health concerns. The global outbreak of Covid-19 has brought fake news on health issues to a new level. Countless online rumours, fake news and hoaxes on the pandemic can be found on the web.

To debunk misinformation and bringing up-to-date information online, a  a free interactive tool was launched. It provides answers by experts and scientists to the public’s questions on Covid-19 in English and Spanish.

The multilingual website offers easy-to-understand, reliable information on the outbreak and important medical advice. By correcting common myths it can prevent widespread misinformation and panic.

This website was developed by the Federation of American Scientists in collaboration with the New Jersey Office of Innovation and the Governance Lab at New York University. It can be accessed via this link.
