Direct mailings to patients in hospitals

Remaining in contact with their family and friends can be extremely important for people staying in hospitals. However, during the current coronavirus outbreak many hospitals prohibit visits to avoid contamination between patients, hospital staff and visitors.

A hospital in the Austrian city Linz created a service where friends and family members can digitally send personalized greeting cards to patients. They are printed out and personally delivered by hospital staff, combining the advantages of digital and physical greeting cards.

This initiative was started by the Ordensklinikum Linz.
