Online pub quizzes

The closure of pubs during the current coronavirus outbreak doesn’t only mean that people have to drink at home; it also has put a stop to pub quizzes. Now some pub quiz organisers are getting creative to make them happen anyway.

The Dutch quiz masters from Upbeatles are now organising pub quizzes online. To ensure that participants get the full pub quiz experience, they need two devices: one to connect with the live stream and one to answer the questions. To avoid that people use sound recognition apps when guessing songs, they are performed by a live musician. These events are also organised for companies as a quarantine-friendly team-building activity.
