Pharmacy produces disinfectant with community support

Since the beginning of the current coronavirus outbreak, the demand for disinfectant has been exceptionally high. This has led to a shortage which is becoming problematic for hospitals, doctors and care providers.

To cope with this shortage, a German pharmacy decided to produce its own disinfectant. But it soon discovered that the ingredients had become unavailable, as well. By mobilizing its community, the pharmacy managed to get the ingredients from industrial companies, distilleries and even schools. It can now deliver its disinfectant to care institutions in its region.
