    Providing information for voluntary services

Many neighbourhood and volunteer initiatives have formed to support their communities in this challenging time of crisis and social distancing. These voluntary support structures are increasingly important and will continue to be so for some time. It is therefore crucial that these initiatives can work in a suitable framework and are supported by the administration in setting up their services.

The regional government of Rhineland-Palatine has, therefore, set up an initiative under the title “Wir tun ‘was” (We do something). A website provides an easily understandable overview of the operating framework for initiatives, their contact persons as well as funding opportunities. Set up under the principles of transparency and accessibility, it allows for smooth and non-bureaucratic support.
