    Shopping and pharmacy deliveries

    People who are particularly vulnerable to the novel coronavirus, such as the elderly and people with preexisting conditions, are advised to avoid all contacts. In consequence, they cannot do their own grocery shopping, or go to the pharmacy.

    The Italian municipality of Latronico has started operating a shopping and pharmacy service for those who have to stay at home. Volunteers from a local NGO pick up the shopping list or prescription and bring back the groceries or the medicine.

    This initiative was started by the Municipality of Latronico with the support of ANPAS – Valle del Sini. Similar initiatives have been started around the world.
