    Smart neighborhood support

    Many young people are willing to assist the elderly in the current Covid-19 outbreak. Organising this support with an app can be convenient for the young but inaccessible for the elderly.

    A German neighbourhood support platform offers a bot-supported telephone service where older people can place their requests for support via phone call. The mostly young people offering their help will find these requests in an app. This way the service responds to both groups’ different communication habits by connecting them with each other.

    The platform is called machbarschaft.
