Solidarity project for vulnerable people

In times of widespread lockdowns, self-isolation and quarantines, people depend on the help of their neighbours more than ever. Measures must be taken so that supplies of food, medicine, basic necessities and protection, housing equipment and social services reach the people who need them the most.

#CitySolidarityGR, an initiative by the Greek Ministry of the Interior, invites municipalities, the private sector and organisations to join forces to contribute to reducing the socio-economic implications of the Covid-19 pandemic and to provide access to basic goods for daily living for all citizens.

Those who wish to contribute to this effort, can register at citysolidarity.gov.gr with the details of their offer and send it to the Ministry of Interior. After the verification process, the offers are published on the platform. Municipalities are informed daily about the available offers and takes care of their distribution depending on the needs.
