Register of small businesses encourages people to buy local in times of crisis.
Times of crisis are often particularly hard on small businesses. As part of the necessary measures in fighting the current Covid-19 outbreak, many small businesses have to keep their shops closed. The decline or complete loss of their revenue can threaten their existence. In Austria, a list of small local businesses that are able to make deliveries or offer their services online encourages people to choose those on the list over large multi-national online retailers. Anyone can send in suggestions for small local businesses to be added to the list. The initiative was started by Nunu Kaller.
