THE 10 FINALISTS
We honour political work that promotes coexistence, in spite of our conflicting personal political views. We are looking for political leaders who take a stand for equality regardless of race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other orientation, nation or social origins, wealth, birth or other factors.

Minority SafePack Initiative
This programme promotes linguistic diversity and minority languages in Europe through cultural support, policy making, and the creation of a European Language Diversity Centre.

Violence Algorithm
The Violence Algorithm establishes a coordinated institutional response to domestic violence and supports integrated prevention mechanisms.

From Shack to House
A housing project helps integrate marginalised Roma communities in a village, in a joint effort by families, the bank, and an NGO.

Rainbow Crossings
A small Swedish town paints its road signs in rainbow colours, calling on residents to respect LGBTQ rights and reminding them that it is okay to be different.

Helping Teenagers Imagine their Future
The project enables young people to understand their rights and grow within a democracy, by holding meetings in the Municipal House.

Active Café
The Active Café helps senior citizens and young people with intellectual disabilities to socially integrate, foster their skills, regain self-esteem, and find their way into a functioning society.

Integration Project Kistlerhofstraße
Integrative housing in Munich lets young refugees share a living space with local students, supported by social workers 24/7, with an in-house cafeteria that is open to the surrounding community.

Safe Harbours
A network of German municipalities and civil society commits to recognising humanitarian crises and actively receiving refugees.

Entourage
Reaching out to homeless people in the neighbourhood, Entourage is developing an innovative collaborative network which helps local residents meet the street people they see every day.

Tackling Discrimination on the Rental Housing Market
A multi-year study is conducted in Ghent to determine and reduce the scale of discrimination in the rental housing market.
