Initiated by Act.Now in collaboration with the Human Rights Office of the City of Vienna, the first NOW Networking Forum was held at the Vienna City Hall on 10 – 11 October 2019.

NOW 6: What moves young people – and how they move us
From 27 to 29 January 2019, the 6th International Mayors’ Conference NOW provided ample space for intense dialogue and innovative formats to discuss the concerns of young people and find ways to involve them in decision-making processes.
Meeting of the NOW Mayors’ Network in Vienna
On 27 January, the NOW Mayors’ Network met at the Vienna City Hall to learn about the youth participation project of the City of Vienna “Werkstadt Junges Wien” and discuss how to intensify their collaboration.

More than 20 mayors and municipal experts from eight different countries of the NOW Mayors’ Network came together in the district of Hameln-Pyrmont in Lower Saxony. The topic at the centre of discussion was social cohesion.

In connection with the 5th NOW Conference in Vienna the City Councillor Jürgen Czernohorszky and Act.Now organised a field exposure for the NOW Working Group of mayors and their accompanying experts to initiatives and projects of the City of Vienna.
SHAPING THE FUTURE – Social Cohesion in our Cities
The 5th NOW Conference addressed social cohesion on communal levels, with a special emphasis on children and young people, using a human and children’s rights based approach.
African Youth and Migration
The 4th NOW Conference in Kampala gathered about 40 experts from more than 10 mostly Sub‐Sahara and some European countries in order to discuss the situation of young refugees and migrants within Africa and beyond as well as perspectives of African Youth.
Europe-Wide institute for Innovation in Politics launched
The newly founded “Innovation in Politics Institute”, based in Vienna, starts with a Europe-wide award for innovation in politics.
Children under the Radar
On the conference for the first time a meeting of local decision-makers, outstanding experts, EU-Parliamentarians and refugees focused on displaced children.
Second International Mayors’ Conference NOW in Athens
The NOW Conference in Athens focused on the EU-Turkey-Agreement and the effects and consequences of its implementation for the communities.
